The Gay Appreciation Awards nomination ballots have been tallied. Let the campaigning begin. The top 5 nominees in each category will now be placed on a voting ballot. Public Voting will take place at New Orleans Pride Fest '98, Sept. 26 and 27, Armstrong Park. Look for the Ambush booth. Make your vote count!

The awards gala will be held on National Coming Out Day, Sunday, Oct. 11, 8pm, Body & Soul, 2300 Chartres, New Orleans. The GAA is sponsored by Ambush Mag, AMBUSHonLINE and Bud Light.

In addition to the public vote awards, the Fly Fashion Awards, Cheridon Award, the Marsha Delain Award of Excellence and the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented.
